I would think that none of us know your brother as much as you do, so you would probably come up with a better present. But i would think the safest thing to do would be to save up money for a bit and let him pick something out himself.
That way, you still kind of had something to do with it even though he picked it out himself.
Say, you dont want to get him something over 50 dollars...then tell him that. If he gets all bratty and your a sucker for little kids, tell him you will save up for something for him. Unless its an Ipod or something that would cost a human life.
Or whatever. :]

My best present was when the 1st Nintendo came out back in 1990 or 1991 I think... That something that I will never forget, I think I was like 9 years though but 11 year old will like the same. A new video game component...

NINTENDO. I was around that age in 1990 and I am a girl. But I will never forget the year I finally got NINTENDO. My parents played a cruel trick on me the year before and got me...an electric typewriter? WHY GOD WHY? I spent all of Christmas Day 1990 playing SUper Mario Bros.

Most 11-13 like music gifts. But really a gift card would be great too.

well i would like to say i am not a boy but i have a brother see the first thing i would do is ask him what he wants for a gift then if he does not know then ask him what he likes and by him something to do with what he likes example my brother likes spider man so i got him something to do with spider man if this does not work then i think a good present would be to help him with his major dream i hope this will help you with your problem good luck to you

1 Really good Lego.
2 Really good clothes.
It's an awkward age; a cool thing to wear and a cool toy are about equal. Given how long it takes for toys to go back to being preferable to clothes, I say: Lego.

Games or sports. Kids love either one at that age.
