There really is one thing. The only way is you didnt allow a proper engine break in. You need to be very gentle with you car for at the VERY least 500 miles but moslty 1000. and obviously you werent so gentle. Its a shame. A new tranny isnt cheap.

Yeah we need more specifics in terms of how you drove it.
If you drove it like you stole it from Day One...then you probably abused it too much.
The 2006 WRX was supposed to have an upgraded manual transmission because the old tranny had a weak case which resulted in flexing under hard launches.
You should definitely take it in immediately to your nearest dealer to have it looked at. It could've been something completely crazy that bombed your drivetrain.
Good Luck with it.

What did you do to it? Anything is possible when it comes to cars. Take it back to the dealer. It should be covered under warranty, unless you modified your car or were racing it. If you modified it as far as engine is concerned try to put it back the way it came. If it's still a good old Subaru they will change the tranny for you. That is rare it happens. But that's the way it goes.
Good Luck!

at an identical time as nowhere in the landlord's handbook does it say guy made is needed, i could propose employing a very guy made motor oil from a truly good producer (ie. Mobil, Amsoil, Castrol, etc). the top approximately waiting til 7500 isn't undesirable, yet many techs will pass lower back and forth as to if or no longer you certainly need to attend. some human beings wait til 10K, others pass precise at 3500. in simple terms be specific you follow the load and oil specification it incredibly is concentrated in the handbook.

i'd say it is just a factory fault. If it was first or second gears blown, that is more likely to be caused by racing. Just remember they are new cars so take it easy (most of the time) for the first 1000-2000 kms. Let everything ease in...
Good choice of vehicle too!!!

Yes it is completly possible, did you race therough the gears, often, were you hard on the clutch?
It could be a manufacturing defect, but if you raced or abused the car in any way good luck getting it covered under warranty

Yes, it's possible, no matter what vehicle or how new anything can go wrong depending on how much you abuse it. It'll still be under warranty, take it to the shop and get it fixed. Need more details. like if you can actually can a standard or not :P
