You can claim the percentage you use for work related purposes but only if internet usage is standard practise in your profession.

No it's not worth it. The IRS is well aware of this fraudulent type of claim. They are auditing more and more of the EIC claims that are based on income that doesn't have a W-2 or 1099.

To claim work expenses you need extensive logs of what times you used the net for work. They might even ask you to prove it. The system makes it very difficult to claim these things on tax.

All of your expenses that are used for your business are deductible from the income from that business!
