One of the games I played at my sister's was kind of goofy, but it was fun. Some people thought it was a bit gross but funny. take different candy bars, melt them in diapers and have guests guess what kind it is. It gets really funny when guests smell it....or even taste it.

I hate party games.. At my baby shower we handed out pieces of a memory game and put the matching piece in a bowl. Then we drew out a piece and asked who had it and that person had to say who they were and how they know the Mother-to-Be and had them tell something funny about kids (having them or something that happened. The person who knew me the longest (family did not count) and shortest and most funniest story won a prize. It was a nice Ice Breaker Game because everyone did not know each other. The game took a while and after the game we had lunch / snacks, then I opened the gifts, we had cake and everyone went home! It was cool...none of that "guess what food is smeared in the diaper" game.
Good Luck!!

I don't know whether you would consider this cheesy. I recently went to a baby shower where they pass around a roll of toilet paper and for each square they took, the person had to either say something about themselves, of give the mother-to-be some good advice. I learned some good things from it, I had a 2mo at the time.

Have a basket full of baby items (pacifiers, blankets, bottles, and other such items, but make sure you have a LOT of them). Tell everyone in the room that they have 1 minute to memorize these items. Hide it way, give everyone a pen and paper, and whoever writes down all of the items (or whoever has the most), wins! Another one is have all the guests try to guess how big the momma's belly is. Then, after they've all had a guess, take a tape measurer, measure her belly, and whoever came the closest, wins!

I found a game called Bun in the oven. You take material and cut out a shape of a woman's dress and you sew two pieces together and put cotton in the belly and in ine you put a little cinnamon bun. the one with the cinnamon bun wins. You can make a cinnamon bun with a glue gun and then paint it brown and white. You can find the instructions on the internet if you search baby shower game bun in the oven. it was a fun game to play.

I don't know about fun, but this is cool and makes a good point. Get some really cool paper..(die-cut, fancy paper hearts at a card store, a notepad, notes whatever).. enough for everyone.Tell everyone that this is their one & only chance to give unsolicited advice to the new mom!!
She will have a great keepsake, everyone will enjoy the opportunity, and they'll also understand that....
if a new Mom wants advice... she will ask for it!!

Get 6 different baby foods. peel off the label and label them with numbers. People taste each one and you have a list of what they are and they have to match the number to the flavour on the list.

Funny watching people's expressions as they taste the not so nice pureed foods! Person who matchs most right wins.

Have a list of animals and ask people to write down what the animal babies are called, throw in some hard ones too.. Person who gets most right wins..

I took my scattagories game and made homemade cards to have stuff to do with babies, the parents, etc. Also the last one I threw was a movie/celebrity theme. We did a babyname match to celeb, and a name that tune with a burned movie cd of movie sonts, those were also the favors. Charades can be fun too if you have the right group.

I absolutely refused to attend mine unless there were no stupid baby shower games. Instead we handed out door prizes. We had all the women who attended write their name on a slip of paper and throughout the night we pulled something like 10 names.
