Penguins don't fly, because of their bone-structure, making them too heavy for flight capability. They are able to waddle and slide though. Hope this enough information. :>

Yes they do... but only underwater.

The way penguins "swim" is very much like how other birds fly through the air. But because of their specific adaptions, their undersized wings cannot support their proportionately large body weight in the air, not to mention the inadequate tail feathers to catch and steer the air.

Now underwater, their little wings and tail are the perfect size to "soar" through the liquid environment without causing the excessive drag that other birds would suffer.

Now if air was as dense as water... the penguin would be the eagle of the skies ;-)

Penguins swim like other birds fly. Their wings have not disappeared, nor have they become vestigial, useless appendages. Instead, they've evolved into flippers.

NO,but they do look like they fly when they leave the water getting onto the rocks.

Have you seen them underwater? I'd call that flying rather than swimming - fast, apparently effortless, elegant - big contrast to their pedestrian antics on land.

No.
Their wings function as flippers for swimming.

unfortunately, no.

penguins have solid bones, making them too heavy for flight.

they are, however, excellent sliders on the ice and swimmers in the sea. just they are terrible flighters in the air.

No. They only use their 'wings' as flippers in the water.

nope. They swim, waddle, and are adorable, but they just don't fly!
