I found two meanings for pophole.
In poultry raising, it is some sort of a trap door which allows laying hens to go in and out of the nesting area.

In music, it seems to be the plastic piece which fits in the middle of old 45 records so that one could place the record
on the post of the turntable. Those old records often had a 1-2 inch hole in the middle in which you could pop in this plasic piece allowing you to put the record on the turntable.
I am surmising this to be the case because I found a music site called Pophole which had a picture of an old 45 record with this piece in the middle.
The sites I found when I searched "pophole" all seemed to deal with music lists for your ipod.

A pophole is also known as a knot-hole. Usually when lumber becomes old and really dry. the knots (left in the wood from where a branch was attached and cut away clean at the sawmill) become loose and can easily be "popped" out creating a "pophole". ( the other answer could be referring to the anus which is sometime called the poophole). hope this answers your question.

Maybe it's another name for a donut hole made from a missing donut popper!
