Because Santa is really a 800 year old corpse that God above raises from the dead one night a year to spread cheer across the world. THe North Pole story is a cover up to a disgusting religious cover up. He does not live there year round. Hes in a Catacomb in Iceland. Hes up for 24 hours one day a year and put back in. Why do you think he wont let kids see him. The kids all know he exists.. the reason is because hes hideous. The hair and fingernails never stopped growing but the rest of him is bone. Religion has tried to keep the image of the real santa out of peoples heads out of fear of destroying the real meaning of the holiday - getting presents because the day coincides close enough to an old pagan holiday that the christians used to catapult the holidays popularity by celebrating it on a day that was reserved for national holiday in ancient rome. Ho Ho Ho!

Maybe he only looks old, because years ago, the visual perception of age equaled wisdom and experience.
