Will you remember the homeless & the hungry?

Yes. Where I work we have adopted a family for Christmas, a single mom and her 3 daughters. We're buying food, clothing, toys and toiletries for them. This is the first year we have done this, and believe me, it truly is better to give than to receive :)

It's not just the holiday season that these people need help, but sadly, this is just about the only time of year most people do think of them. I give regularly to the local food bank and thrift stores, and I'm not ashamed to admit that in the past I have had to use their services. That's when I was told that 90% of their donations come at the holiday season, and they have to make it stretch the rest of the year. Since then, I have made an effort to donate throughout the year.

i comprehend those who're homeless and that i imagine homelessness in la is a important situation, with a minimum of three hundred,000 on the line. Many extra stay or sleep in automobiles and so on. the priority is rooted the following in diverse themes. One is that human beings from all around the country come the following to make it in Hollywood without resources, and folk come homeless the following because the elements is hotter than maximum places interior the iciness. Secondly the cost of residing the following for housing now BEATS lengthy island city. straightforward it really is between the most severe priced places interior the U. S. to stay, and housing is astronomical. this signifies that an excellent type of folk who're on incapacity and performance no family individuals to stay with are homeless. very last yet no longer least, the social facilities are beaten, and that is tied in with unlawful IMMIGRATION. they say one human being in twelve the following is against the law. i'm keen about criminal immigration, yet illegals do not basically get welfare and different advantages of being a citizen without being electorate, in addition they carry down what employers pays considering that many paintings for funds or low wages, and they destroy THE UNIONS through doing so. at present ORANGES were $a million.50 a pound at Ralph's, a important food market chain the following. WHO CAN arise with the money for THAT? The bus driver advised me that is because the INS is cracking down and the plant life are literally not being picked. properly, there continually has been a coverage of searching any incorrect way at the same time as it contains who selections our plant life, and that i imagine those who do destroy their backs and deserve good wages. yet at the same time as it comes each of ways all the way down to it, this Christmas you received't see someone of privledge like a CEO take a pay reduce or provide maximum of his overblown income to the negative - till its for a tax deduction. Come visit me at Madam Cece's Salon, the position the own is political and love is the middle of the count number!

I volunteer at a food bank, and I work there even when it isn't the Holiday! It's a shame they are only remembered during the cold Holiday season....they are starving and homeless year round!

Absolutely. And I am a member of a local car club and we routinely throughout the year have food drives at our get togethers for our local food bank and we all also donate money to the food bank because for every dollar we donate to them, they can get $15 worth of food with it and I always participate in those....so, my answer is yes. And I think about them throughout the entire year. I only wish that I could do more but I already volunteer my time to other organizations and I can only spread myself so thin.

Yes, my family will...it doesn't seem like Christmas until we give a few donations to people in need, after all it is suppossed to be "the season for giving", and we have enough already, so it is time to share.

Yah. I'm trying to find new ways of helping out this year. Going beyond helping at a soup kitchen, you know? Any ideas?

Yes but shouldn't we think of them and share year round instead of just one day.
