What are Chris Leak's ( QB for Florida Gators) chances as pro? Will he be like most of the other Florida QB's, or will he be the MAN at the next level? Also, where would you guess he will go in the draft? (Round, not to what team)

As a student at the University of Florida, I would love to see one of our quarterbacks finally excel in the NFL, but I highly doubt that Chris Leak will be an NFL success. First of all, he is too short. I know that many argue that height isn't that big of a factor because the offensive lines can split to allow him better field vision, but I disagree. Watch Leak in a game. He ALWAYS rolls out of the pocket, even when the pocket isn't collapsing. This is because he is only listed as six foot (I've seen him, I'm six foot, hes more like 5' 10"). Also, he has very good field vision, but I don't think he is an athletic enough quarterback to make it in the NFL. He lacks size, yet doesn't make up for it in speed (like Flutie did). Finally, he doesn't have enough pocket presence to lead a team down the field. He is not even able to consistently lead an effective passing game at UF. He has broken quite a few records here, but chalk that up to a ton of playing time and an exceptional receiving corps. The real question isn't how he'll do as a pro, but rather will he lead us to a national championship? Anyways, he's a late fourth round to early fifth round pick. GO GATORS!

Leak will probably be a 6th or 7th round pick and will be a good backup to the team drafting him. But every qb has a chance to make it in the NFL, just ask Kurt Warner or Tony Romo. He's a little small in my opinion to make it in big leagues, but he beats Ohio State next month and gets Florida a National Championship, then he's alright in my book. Go Gators!

Somebody will give him a try in the very late rounds. I don't see him as having the talent to make it as an NFL QB, not even as a backup.

Uh, he's gotten a bit skittish lately. He makes some big plays and lands some great passes, but he's rather inconsistent. Who knows, though?

4th or 5th round is my guess.

he'll be a late round pick due to his athleticism. too many INTs to be selected high. he needs to go to a team that can help him w/ his field vision.
