"Sit Down" by James. It's not so much an inspirational song, it's more a I-feel-like-crap-but-that's-OK song. It always motivates me, so I suppose that could make you do better at something. : )
Also, any song from the Bridget Jones's Dairy soundtrack gives me a bit of a lift.
