A loose power is more natural, but doesn't give as heavy coverage. You might want to try mineral powder - it gives the best, sheerist coverage, and stays put. Try Bare Essentials or any other type of mineral based powder. When you apply it to your brush (a big, fluffy brush), tap the bottom of the brush versus shaking it to get out excess. This is something you need to do with mineral based powders to get the maximum coverage out of them.

I always use a loose powder but I apply it in the morning with a puff instead of a brush and that helps to control the oily shine better than just fluffing it on with a brush. Then when I come back from lunch I carry a small container of the same loose powder in my purse and use a brush to apply it so it is lighter than it would be if I put it on with a puff.
I use Perscriptives or Origins loose powder. They are mineral base not talc which can clog pours and cause acne.
I have had bad acne and oily skin all of my adult life and this really works. I am 44 yrs old...

pressed powder is the best. I wear MAC make up and i found out loose powder tends to wear off faster than pressed powder try using a smudge proof pressed make you will sure to love it

I use BareMinerals and it is pressed into a lil cup, but then you shake it out a little so it is loose then you spread it on your face with the brush and it give you a shine you already had if you don't want that apply more. I luv it, it is really pricy.

Pressed gives better cover but loose is more natural thats what I use and it lets you skin breath more. Pressed is used for touch ups when your out.

Pressed. Try Covergirl Clean powder or Loreal True Match. They're top ranked products. See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/top3.php

Pressed powder works for me...minor touchups throughout the day. Don't forget blotting tissue...even the Starbucks napkins work! soaks the oil right up!

I like pressed powder.
It's a little thicker so it covers better.
But make sure you get Neutorgena or it will clog pores.
