Watch some basketball and see who ur fave player is and use that number...like 23 or 32...good numbers and good people have had those numbers!

Choose a player and choose his number, i like 10 as Michael Owen was/is awesome. 23 is jamie carraghers number. there are no shortage of good players who wore 9 or 10 for that matter. and to previous answerer its nonsense that the best players on the team wear 7 or 9.

Unless your school makes you buy your own jersey, you are stuck with what ever number they have for your size. But some schools does make you buy your own and you can choose any number you want...seniors gets first pick, jrs, and so forth. I haven't seen a school that sets limitation except to comply with State rules.

We always had to take whatever number was in our size. The biggest guy was always 55. I got 14 purely randomly due to my rather slender figure. I liked it and I have worn it ever since. All of my friends know it's my number. Softball, basketball, volleyball, whatever. It's me. I think it's best to try and get a number and make it your own. So when people say "number 14" you know who they mean.

usually they just give you a jersey, most high schools don't give you the option to pick any number you want

think about how many girls like you then when you oder your jersey w/ the coach tell him to put that number on there which is probably one.
