My parents divorce changed my view of the concept of being married. As a child, I wanted the whole marriage and family thing. After the divorce, I never wanted to be married. I actually did get married and have a family, but it took a long time for him to convince me that marriage was the right way for us to go. I was more than happy to just live together.

Two things happened to me after my parents got divorced.
1. I saw my father more. My father was a store manager and worked long hours. After the divorce he became self-employed and was more available to me and my siblings. He supported me in my interests and our relationship strengthened.
2. My mother became a single adult and promptly disappeared. We still lived in the same house, but I never saw her. When she wasn't working, she was out with friends or boyfriends and taking trips. She was home here and there to make sure that the refrigerator had food. But after the age of 15, I was alone.

yes, it affected me lot. when a couple saperate, the child will surely affected, both physical ang mental. the child will loose one of their source of love,( something that everybody need) and this will leed to a serious social ills, especially if the childs are expose to the negative atmosphere.
this , then will ruin their study and life if no action are taken.
most of the reason why divorce affected a child is lack of attention from both mother and father.
hope this will help you.

not really only when i was little i kept crying and pitying myself. You just look back on it and when you think about it, it was for the best. No more yelling and what not. If your going through it with your parents just try to help and reason with your mother and father

Yes, it made me independent and stand on my own two feet. I learned not to put all my hopes in another person but make them happen myself. Most of all I learned that life will not work out the way you think it will, however it can work out the way you make it happen. I know its not easy and it suck especially if they talk bad about each other in front of you, but its a life lesson that you get to learn from their mistake and not yours............I wish you all the luck with this......stay strong.

I'M SORRY ABOUT YOUR SITUATION. I'M SO HAPPY AND THANK GOD THAT MY PARENTS ARE STILL TOGETHER. 20YRS. JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT IF THEY ARE DIVORCED IT WAS PROBABLY THE BEST AND HEALTHY FOR YOU. SINCE I'M SURE THEY WOULD ALWAYS BE FIGHTING OR SOMETHING. JUST HAVE IN MIND TOO, THAT IT WAS NOT B/C OF YOU AND THAT THEY BOTH LOVE YOU. TAKE CARE.
