Short answer, global warming is a reality and it's changing the planet very rapidly, future generations will have to adapt to a different environment, glaciers are melting at an incredible speed causing the sea level to raise, that could lead to a catastrophe and it's real, it's happening..☺

Only the kind of 'global warming" that is created by all of the hot air emitted by politicians and publicists for this sort of "world is coming to an end" absurdity..

Climate change is (like all other change) a constant in our planet's history over the past five billion years. Some of this change is beneficial to life, some is harmful, and some, perhaps most, will have mixed effects, benefiting life, including human beings, in some ways and being injurious in others. Both global and human well being is best served by applying human intelligence to the possible solution, or at least amelioration of the attendent challenges and (even dangers) which such change inevitably creates.

There are good reasons having nothing to do with CO2 emissions, greenhouse gases, Polar ice melting, or other fairy tales for developing replacements for hydrocarbon fuels where feasible. There are good reasons for conserving and protecting valuable rain forests around the world, but it must be done in ways to enhance the prosperity and well being of the people who live in them and depend on these environments for their well being. Pollution abatement IS a real issue for people in many cities around the world. There are good reasons for improving the reliability and profitability of renewable and/or decentralized energy sources and technologies, and removing any legal or regulatory barriers to their adoption away from Coal, oil, or most nuclear fission power. Resorting to vague apocalyptic visions of global catastrophe merely delays acceptance of legitimate work in this very important area!!

There are no doubt worthwhile and valuable contributions that improved environmental awareness has to offer the human community throughout the world, especially in the USA. "Global Warming" and its attendent scaremongering and pessimism is NOT one of them.

Global warming is a theory, thus far there is not concrete proof that it is actually occurring. They have been taking temperature records in large cities which have since multiplied to many times their original size causing the numbers to be skewed. The earth's weather works in cycles which take so long to take place that we have no idea at what point in the cycle we are so we cannot even prove that we are having an effect on global temperature. I agree that we need to reduce our wastefulness and increase efficiency to decrease pollution and provide a clean environment for future generations. At the rate we are going and populating this planet, we will run out of resources before global warming will be an issue. My two cents.

I believe scientists have to make a living just like accountants, lawyers, physicians, and teachers. Each will proselytize any new theory or principle that rewards their research with state, federal, or private grant money.

If "global warming" will reduce my heating bill, I'm for it.

Yes....I believe in global warming.

Yes....we've made a lot of changes in the way we live.

No....I don't have to tell you what those things are.

You're turning off people by sounding like the Gestapo....you're causing the opposite effect.

You can't bully people into doing something- at least, you can't bully someone into doing something WELL. You have to educate them. That's how they solved sexism and racism and the CCP Ozone problem
