She does not have a fever and is still eating normally. Has anyone had this problem? I am seeing my doc at the end of the week, but would like some help sooner.

This happened to my son at 4 months, it was most likely caused by him drinking too much water.

I had gotten in the habit if letting him play with a bottle of water in his highchair while I did the dishes. He would just make a big mess. Until one day I looked over and he was drinking it and it was almost empty.

It went away in 24 hours.

The other common causes are: dairy allergy (in the formula, or in mom's milk), or a milk oversupply if breastfeeding.

Best of luck!

Does your pediatrician have an answer line? Our pediatrician's office has a twenty-four hour question line. If something like this comes up, we just call and the person on duty gives advice and if needed, sets up an appointment. They may even suggest you need to go to the ER if they are really concerned.

Good luck! I hope all is well.

This is normal. My daughter had the same thing. I was worried like crazy because she is my first girl (I have 3 boys before her). I called the dr. and they told me that this will happen due to her hormones regulating themselves, now that she doesn't have yours running through her. But still ask the doctor when you see them.

I have heard of that happening when there is a fluctuation in the hormones-I know this idea is scarey- but make sure no one is molesting her- an ex friends husband did that - is now in jail- DB-RN
