My house is not always clean. I live in an apartment, so I don't have a yard. I pay rent to my apartment complex to keep the complex and my neighborhood clean. Part of my state taxes go toward keeping my state highways clean. Keep our world clean? What does that mean?

I can relate. My mom was a stay at home mom so you would think she did all the house work. Think again. I had to do the cooking, dish washing, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, bed making for everyone but my parents and clean both bathrooms. I also did the gardening and the pool (which was very old fashioned and a real pain). The only thing she actually did was my dad's ironing. I had to do mine and my brothers. I can only say one thing. This has made me appreciate my home now that I live with my husband. While my kids were growing up I tried to instill in them to keep their rooms clean. They both keep things in order and my husband helps me with the dishes and laundry, we do it as a team. In the long run, I like things neat and orderly. If someone should happen to leave something, I have to pick it up and put it away.

How are you cleaning things? How are you throwing stuff away? Everything you throw away into a designated trash can ends up in a dump somewhere. Then that gets tossed into the ocean or a landfill. So no matter what, there is trash somewhere out there. It doesn't just magically disappear, even when properly placed in a trash can.
