I just have to say there is none like a parent's love. I love my mom. There is no love greater than a parent's. The capacity is unimaginable and I just wanna say thanks to all parents who really try!

I feel like crying when I think how my friend who didn't have good parents suffered much. I appreciate everything my parents have done my father and how hard he worked... I think there is no greater love (human).

This belongs in philosophy because there is much traffic here.

Thanks for letting me share.

Wow! what a nice thing to say. I am sure your parents are very proud of you and would love to read what you have written about them. I am a parent of 2 my children have pretty much grown now. oldest is 24 married and doing very well and I am just as proud of him. My daughter is 18 in college and living at home with a new boyfriend. Her and I were so close up until just recently. She made me very proud as well, but recently we are having a very hard time with her since the new boyfriend. He is very domineering over her and normally she wouldn't have taken it but now she only listens to him. He tells her not to go to school and to spend the day with him. etc. etc.

Anyways Thank you for sharing your thoughts with all of us. It was very good of you.

With all the mistakes my parents made in raising me, and they will admit to their many mistakes, I thank them for how they did. They were far from perfect but they supported me and encouraged me. They didn't give me everything I could ever want. But there are many things about the way my parents raised me that to this day, I am not like. I was raised to be judgmental and discriminatory in many ways. I chose not to be. In fact, I've been able to teach my parents to think differently than they were raised. I don't think you can blame them for how you relate to other people. You are cold, distant and unaffectionate because you choose to continue your parents' legacy. You could ignore those lessons you were taught if you want to. It's entirely your choice.
