My friend called me a poser, is it true?I have Converse shoes and colored the white toe part black, then he folowed what I did ( But he colored his orange and red) Then he called me a Poser and said That he copyed me!When I did it first because I am going to try goth for a little. Now he told EVERY one in my school That I Am A Poser! Am I A Poser?!?!?Should he not be my friend any more? What should I do, because when ever I go in the hall to get to a diffrent class at least 20 people call me A poser. ( I am in middle school so stuff gets around fast) What should I do!?!?!? Its driveing me nuts, I have even tryed every trick in the book for geting out of school.

Goth is more a lifestyle or outlook on life than anything. They tend to accept that there are bad things as well as good things in life, rather than 'sweep them under the rug', to say, and pretend they don't exist. They can dress however they want, although many prefer darker colors and more dramatic clothes and makeup, and listen to lots of songs and varied genres of music, which can include but are by no means limited to, new wave, darkwave, ethereal, Celtic, goth rock, punk, postpunk, chants, heavy metal, industrial, Latin, et cetera. Not all are interested in vampires - in fact, relatively few are. Many if not most have good relationships with their parents. Very few have mental or psychological problems. Most are actually quite nice, if a bit saturnine. Very, very, very few are 'satanists' or 'devil worsippers'. Most of the young teenagers who listen to Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Slipknot, Korn, My Chemical Romance, Drowning Pool, et cetera and wear heavy thick makeup and studded spike collars and bracelets are called 'Mall goths', shop mostly at Hot Topic, and - this is important - they're not real goths. They just seem to think they are. They act disturbed and surly and try to impress/intimidate people. It seldom works, as most are obviously pathetic, and almost all will (thankfully) grow out of it. If you try to be something your not then your a poser but if your you you not a poser.As for you friend find out why he did that he might have called you that because he a poser

Why are you going to try to go goth? It's ok to try different things but if your doing it just to be different than you are a poser. I think your friend is definetly a poser if he copied you.

ouch. thats not very "friendly". hes probably not a good friend.
think of it this way, its not that you're a poser, unless ur trying to be goth/punk whatever, maybe its just that u like that style, no biggie.
so what should you do? not be his friend anymore, and ignore everyone, its just middle school, kids like to tease.

tell your friend that if he's going to be a hypocrit that you shouldnt be friends. the only way you could be a poser is if you followed the exact same things over and over and over! ♥

i sugest first thing not be friends with him second dont go goth and the definition of goth is a satan worshiper its more of a religion just be yourself before i was trying to be someone i wasnt then i started being myself and i have tons of friends now who think im awsome for being who i am find some new friend because once you have good friends it doesnt matter what people think about you

its freaken shoes!and dont try to be goth or nething jus for a while...cus thats a poser.just be who you are not any steriotype thing out there lyk goth and what not...
o and just ignore that guy and he will eventually get bored of himself and leave you alone...

don't go goth...that's going to get you rejected and outcasted from all of society except "fellow goth members" It' sflat out wierd.
