Philipp Lahm is the best. He has been a solid defender all year. He also is a very offensive minded fullback. He scored the first goal of the World Cup 2006, and is nominated for the Footballer of the Year. Roy Makaay is also pretty good.

For recent team it is Bastian Schweinsteiger, I follow his career from 2004 Euro and he developed a lot :O meaning alot! If he played against Italy I bet it's German who met France in the final of 2006 WC not Italy.
For all time team it is Stefan Effenberg. No one I meant NO ONE will be able to replace him, not even Ballack when he joined Muenchen from Leverkusen. Effe simply the best playmaker Muenchen ever had!

there are many good players at the moment at bayern, bastian schweinsteiger, philip lahm, martin demichelis..., lucio is also good, ottl is an upcoming star there, sagnol as usual is good.... but many players are under-performing
