I gave Tania Zaetta a big shove in a night club once as after many 'excuse me's' trying to get to the bar she wouldn't budge....lame, I know, but that's about it. Oh, except for the Bob La Castra airplane encounter. I also met Tony Longhurst in a Club once - very unimpressive meeting, but that's a story for another time

Porcupine Village doing a story for The Great Outdoors. I had gone there to the filming as my husband was an employee there at the time and he was going to be in the filming of the advertisement for Porcupine. Anyway, as I said, I was only there as a tag along, and Ernie was walking about checking out the set. He saw me and instantly wanted me to be in the add. I don't know if it was good or bad, but he wanted me dressed up as one of the whores that were up on the balcony of the hotel. So I got pulled into the resturant where all the costumes were, and as I started getting dressed, Ernie walked in while I had the dress half way over my head. You can imagine the shock, not just me, but Ernie as well. So what did he do?? What else, he made a joke out of it and said, "I'll just stand here and make sure no-one comes in". Well we all laughed. He is a real larrican. He is so funny. After blowing Ernie a kiss during the shoot for the show, from on-top of the hotel, (which was used in the show) we all had lunch in the restaurant. We all talked and laughed together. Ernie is a real funny man, and a family man, and very very tall. Anyway, that's my brush with fame. He may not a hollywood star, but he is an Aussie legen

I was in the Amsterdam airport on my 16th birthday in 1971...we were on a layover for about 4 hours and Carlos Santana and his band were changing planes there. I was dressed in a midi dress and had a sombrero on my back that I had gotten as a souvenir at a bullfight in Madrid and was carrying a sword (with a rounded point) and replica wooden conquistador rifle (they'd never let you carry that on a plane these days) for gifts for my mother who loved Spanish decor and Carlos was going down an escalator and I was looking down at him over the edge of the railing and he looked up at me and said, "I want that chick right there." I headed for the escalators running and my friends stopped me and were yelling...you can't really go, you can't go. So that was the end of that. It was a school trip.

I saw Slash from Guns N' Roses at a Denny's while I was in college. I remember standing behind him, waiting to be seated, looking at all that hair and wondering, "Who does that guy think he is, Slash?" Then I realized it was actually him. :)

I've met Mitch Pileggi, who played Skinner on the X-Files. (Mulder & Scully's boss) He was very warm and friendly, and gave me a very nice hug. (There's a hard physique under those button down shirts. Watch out, Mulder.)

I've also met Doug Hutchison, who played Percy in the movie "The Green Mile". Weirdest quote from meeting : "I threw up on a lover once. She wanted me to."

My mom used to work with Dawn Robinson of the group En Vogue. She's very sweet, always moving and dancing.

Thanks! What fun memories! :)

Was 30 ft away from Martha Stewart when she held a party at the marina my uncle docks his boat in. She was serving lobster, and it was pretty weird because she didn't have any cameras around her. It was like she was human, hehe.
Got to meet and talk to Nina Paley, the animator, during a pre-college Flash class. She liked my character design. =)
The queen of England attended the showing of My Fair Lady in London when we were there for vacation. Talk about lucky! We rented a pair of binoculars during the show just to see her better. (They have rentable ones on the back of the seats.)
I almost became a poet when I was in 2nd grade, as well... a poem of mine got into the finals of a poetry contest that was intended for people of all ages to enter. I got tons of publishers asking for me to work w/ them, but I refused, saying it would be too much work.

I met Ellie Mae Clampett (Donna Douglas) at a Chinese Restaurant in Branson, Missouri, in about 1977-78. She was a delightful person. She singed an autograph, and gave my family tickets and VIP passes to the show she was in. I also ran into Cliff Burton, bass player for Metallica in a hotel in Wichita, KS in 1985. He asked me about good places to go fishing for catfish...

I won backstage passes to meet Kenny Chesney at his concert a couple of years ago. We got to hang out backstage with him for about 10 minutes and he took pictures and signed autographs. At the end I thanked him and he looked at me and said "thank you darlin." He was really nice, and it was a fun experience.
