Oh my, David W... That is so, so incorrect...

Testes and ovaries are fully developed in newborns, and newborn girls' ovaries even contain egg cells!

That said, I think the question was asking if the results of meiosis are sex cells, in which case the answer is yes, and is more fully described in my answer to the previous question about meiosis. :)

the female newborn already went through meiosis because females are born with all the eggs they will need in their lifetime
males on the other go through meiosis once they hit puberty, they make sperm every couple of days.
