I have a doctors appointment tomorrow (Nurse does it I guess) and I have to get a shot in my a**.
Does it hurt? What's it like?
Also how is it given (Ie: What's the procedure like)? Standing or laying, etc.?

It hurts less than other places because it's just fat. It can either be standing or laying, but they will probably ask you to lay on your side. I'd rather a shot in the butt than in the arm any day.

The only times I remember getting a shot in the rear, I was lying down on my side and the nurse just slipped my pants down just enough to get to the top of my butt and gave the shot there. I really think it hurts the least of any shot and I absolutely HATE needles.
BTW, how'd it go for you? Hope it was ok.

Joey Porter of the Pittsburgh Steelers got shot in the butt outside a nightclub and he played football a week later, so must not be too bad?

A Little for just a minute....you'll be OK...however you will bruise....
You can lie down half way for the shot....just relax it will be over before you know it.......

i've gotten a shot in my butt before and it goes by soo fast. you wouldn't even notice it.
