How can I make friends?

There are people at school that I want to like me.

SMILE, SMILE, SMILE, and make yourself friendly. When you show a genuine interest in someone, they start to know that you care. Ask questions, even if you know the answer. People like to feel helpful and smart. Compliments also go a long, long, way. Be willing to share when you have enough. People like to be with people that share the same interest, so look for those that like the same types of things that you do.

Be a very good supporter of those that need to be uplifted. Everybody cheers for the ones that stand out, but what about the one that is just trying really hard? Who cheers for them? Why not you! Read the book, "How to win friends and influence people". You can get it at the library or at www.ebay.com or www.amazon.com. You are bound to make new friends, just make sure they are the right ones and not a bad influence on you. Don't forget that you can be the one that everybody wants you to be their friend.

That depends on whether the person you want to be your friend is a male or female.

If female: start off with small talk. Ask her about her shoes or complement her bag, bracelets or any other type of jewelry.

Once she says thank you then you can ask where she got it from or compare it to something similar that you might have.
ie. (if you complement her bag) "I have something like that at home..."

Male: be foward, but not to demanding. Never tell a guy directly that he is cute. You can talk near him with a friend (female friend) about what he may be wearing, or if you think he has a girlfriend or not.
ie. "Sara I like is shirt that's hot, I think he's hot, I wonder if he has a girlfriend"
Doing this will let the guy know that you have taken an interest in him and he will begin to notice you more often. Every time you see him speak to him. Slowly build a relationship (not desperately), but start off by saying "hi, how are you?" why you see him.
Eventually the conversation will become more in depth. Be friendly, open and try not to blush.

You can't make anyone like you. It just happens naturally. That's how life goes. Naturally. So don't force yourself to be someone your not. Maybe if you are quiet, Enhance your speaking skills a bit. Try and spark up conversation with them. In the end, it only matters who comes to the funeral.

for example if you are in the same class together talk to them in the hall about that stupid test.

or join clubs and activities that he's a part of. not only you'll get involved more (which you can add to your college resume) you also have more additional handles of conversation to pull.

by personal experience i find that joining a sport is a good way to make friends. You bond the way you just cant in class.

try just make friends with one of them at first, say hi or something to one of em, the rest will want know who you are and join in.

Get into the conv. if it isnt private and put in your opinion and then go on and say ya no by the way my name is so and so but dont be all weird and freaky just act natural
