I was watching Cinderella with a few of my nieces and recently I've been WAY to obsessed with symbolism. What would the slipper represent?

the symbolism of the slipper...I actually did a report on this in 7th grade

the "lost" slipper represents the chance at something bigger dissappering in an instant because of priror obligations...ie. new life...love...job...ect.

the "glass" slipper represents the fragility of that potental lost reality

the "high healed" slipper represents the femminity of cinderella and that her issues affect all women

the "returning" of the slipper represents returned hope for reality...fate...everything working out

the fact that the "slipper didn't dissappear with rest of mirage" represents the fact that somethings are impossible to achieve buless we start small (the slipper) and reach that goal and remember that you cant get from A to Z with out going through b,c,d,e,f,g,h,...ect.

the fact that "it only fit her" represent 1. the uniquness of cinderalla and why the prince loved har and 2. how each of our potentials is different and we can't expect others to be like us

The slipper represents love in a way. When she loses it, its like a way to find them and reunite them!

I think the glass slipper represents pure, true love. It is fragile, yet it hasn't broke when Cinderella put her foot into it, maybe because she is so gentle. It is perfectly amazing that it only fits Cinderella's foot.

Oooh. That's a good thought.

I think the glass slipper represents pure, true love. It is fragile, transparent (no secrets), and if broken, it is impossible to put back together perfectly. It is also priceless and perfectly unique (it only fits Cinderella's foot).

Though no one could really comfortably wear a glass slipper without breaking it, Cinderella could because she was soft. gentle, and light (hearted).

Wealth. Obviously, Cinderella couldn't have afforded glass slippers considering her socio-economic status. That's why when she loses a glass slipper, it's a life changing event. And when the prince finds the slipper, then puts it on her feet, giving her elevated status as queen-like, she re-gains her lost place in the world, and returns to her queen-like status.

Wow, there's symbolism in Cinderella?! Interesting, hmm...
I don't know, I think it's well... I'm thinking this realistically, she left it behind by accident 'cause the clock struck midnight & guards were after her to retrieve it & you know the rest (Disney version)
But basically it's obvious isn't it?
The glass slipper was a way for her Prince Charming to track her and live happily ever after.

Glass slipper...key to her prince finding her.

Slipper made of glass to denote that she is pure and delicate.
