read the guitar mags, artists in them offer a lot of tips to folks who want to learn the good stuff plus improvise their own.

Learn ur scales mix them, listen to heavy metal bands like ozzy osbourne, i am working on solos and i know how u feel.Try ultimate-guitar.com or Tablaunch.com and learn some solos, then do what u got 2 do, and do what comes to your mind, if u don't like, improvise, also record yourself and see how u sound while playing. Its a good technique i learned from my cousin, also if u wabt 2 play AC/DC and Black Sabbath songs, buy videos like concerts and all that jazz, and watch the fingers of the player, and then play their technique and improvise to make things more comfortable 2 u, good luck
