PSP. If you're not into gaming or already have a DS, opt for a Palm. The Tungsten E2 ($200) with a memory card (Or TX) is a good buy in such a case

These 2 options cost more for the same capacity as an iPod, but they do much, MUCH more! The PSP and Palm alike can be media players, and the PSP adds gaming and WiFi to the mix. The Palms (E2, TX, Lifedrive) add the ability to play NES, Sega Master System or Atari games if you get LJP, organize your life, and can run other useful applications without needing to homebrew! The TX ($300) adds WiIf and a screen big enough to compete with a PSP, and get a cheap laptop instead of a LifeDrive ($400 can do many things...) if you want one.

It depends, a PSP does everything an iPod does plus plays games and has internet access. (internet costs extra). So if you are rich, get it. But, if your on a budget, I LOVE my iPod nano. It is pretty cool, and it plays a few games. iPod videos play like 45 differant games.
