I definitely have a problem with marijuana: I don't have very much left! Okay, jokes aside, I much prefer marijuana to alcohol. First, you cannot overdose on THC. The average man would have to smoke about 160 1 gram joints in an hour in order to overdose on THC. Secondly, whereas alcohol actually restricts blood flow to the brain by replacing oxygen with alcohol on hemoglobin, marijuana does not. That is why operating a motor vehicle is significantly less dangerous while high on marijuana than while drunk on alcohol. Thirdly, marijuana is far easier and cheaper to get than alcohol. In Ontario a 26oz bottle of hard alcohol has a minimum price of about $23, and beer often sells for $30 for 24 bottles or more (the lowest legal price for beer is approx. $1/bottle, giving you promotions like 24 FOR 24 at the Beer Store!).
As for alcohol, it's nothing but problems. You drink and say stupid things, fight people, throw up, sleep outside and then vow never to do it ever again. When I'm high I'm playing Pink Floyd and watching The Wizard of Oz.
Not that I don't like a drink now and again. Drinking makes you feel pretty good if you don't do it in excess. But then what's the point for 90%? I never have to waste my weed by just smoking it not to be really messed up.
Back to you.

I used to smoke marijuana everyday/sometimes all day. There were times when I ran out and I wasn't able to get any right away. During these times I became very bitchy, I couldnt sleep at night and it was not uncommon for me to be devoid of any motivation. Yet, once I was able to find pot again I was up and around(back to normal). I'm sure that pot is mentally addictive(if you smoke enough of it). It can become physically addictive/if you smoke enough of it for a long period of time. It's not all good, but then again what is. But, I am a firm believer that it is soooooo much better for the soul and body than alcohol is and ever could be.

Well relying on how they could "legalize" this. If they only decriminalized it --- The DEA, drug police could be fired (rightly so ) So unemployment could move up. If the "legalized it" as a tax cow then the DEA could come to be Revenueers of the boot legging days and Privacy and Search and Seizure could move out of life. Why could a "police" agent NOT FIND marijunan that used to be untaxed after they could be getting factor for taxes recovered? As folks who're already developing acquainted with now not running and being help by means of govt be allowed to puff away with out the far off risk of loosing thier dole --- extra will flock to the dole. So society could have got to be transparent --- smoke pot however don't count on any help for doing so?

I totally agree with you! I think the only reason weed is illegal is because the government knows that they can't make as much money off of it because people can grow it themselves, alcohol is where the money is at for them. I have never smoked it but I dont see what the big deal is.

I don't drink but I do smoke and have done for the past 25 years but have no problem with it , although some people do get schizophrenia from long term use so it doesn't suit everyone.

There is nothing with marijuana but the problem
is just like alcohol , there will be too many
abusing it, and that's when the trouble begins.
