I'm 11 weeks pregnant and i have a slight problem. First of all I am in the process of quitting smoking cold turkey so i dont know if this has anything to do with my problem. I have been really shaking alot in the last week or two. It worries me because at my last doctors appointment by blood pressure was a little high and i dont know if it has anything to do with that or not. I also thought I have a lot of sugar intake and i thought I might have high blood sugar. Diabetes runs in my family and I had gestational diabetes when i was pregnant with my 2 year old but it all cleared up after i delivered her. I was just wondering what this could be? Do you think my DR. could give me my glucose test sooner than normal? Also, I have trouble with getting faint. If I stand on my feet longer than 20-30 minutes things start to go dark like i'm gonna faint and I feel I would if I didnt always sit down when this hit me. Do you think these symptoms are linked together. I have an appt tomarrow to ask.

probably do have high blood pressure and its related to that .
its great you quit cold turkey! i did too never experience what you did though havent had a cig for 3 weeks (btw only found out i was preg 3 wks ago) now 9 wks and feeling much better. never had your symptoms though and i also have diabetes in my family.

diabetes can lead to high blood pressure. so they could be related. ur soking issue could cause you to crave food (association with putting something in your mouth). raising your blood sugar
cut down sugar intake just to be safe and drink fluids. i find bananas are a good snack but not the overly ripe ones! too much natural sugar. try oats or oat based snacks good for releasing energy.

to help with the smoking keep carrot and cucumber stick with you when you want a cig eat a few pieces to switch the association. i personaly took a 5 min walk to divert attention! walk round the office etc. soon a bad habbit will be replaced by a good one

Definitely ask for a blood test.
You may also be anemic- that was my problem that caused dizziness like you have described- when I was 10 weeks pregnant I had to quit work because I kept passing out- looking back I should have demanded iron tablets...

You have the right to ask for whatever you think will put your mind at rest, doctors don't want pregnant women stressing unduly :)

Good luck with your pregnancy, and congratulations!

Yo babe, got an odd question for ya! Bare with me ok, do you happen to be more flexible than the average person? Do you have breasts on the smallish side? My first pregnancy was fine but when my son was three I was having those same symptoms, I knew my sis had Mitral Valve Prolapse.....I also knew that my doctors always listened to my heart far longer than they listened to my sons...I didn't catch that til I had a kid! So I knew because of my physical appearance they listened for MVP. It usually shows itself with stress or pregnancy. It sounds like your symptoms mimic mine. Ask your doctor about it, if its possible have him send you to a cardiololgist for an ultrasound of you heart. Its not harmful, once you know what it is and why your heart races its easier to control. Email me if you want too. Its a very common problem often overlooked.

Saw the jokes. Heard so much of them earlier than. Wouldn't fear an excessive amount of approximately offending persons. Lots of persons take existence too critically besides. It was once only some jokes. If I acquired disappointed with the entire dull Irish jokes on right here we would certainly not have fun. Fair play for apologizing however individuals who complained must calm down just a little too. Have a celebrity *

It does sound like your symptoms are more to do with your sugar intake than with quitting smoking. Try to eat protein (like peanuts) when you feel shaky. Definitely tell your Dr. and he might want to do the Glucose Tolerance test early.

Tell your doctor that you want the glucose test run now and give yourself piece of mind over that. If it isn't glucose, make sure he knows about the shaking and fainting, the doctor needs to get to the bottom of that.

Go to the ER now. It could be any number of things and it could be nothing but the blood pressure and the dizziness are not a good combination. Better safe than sorry.

If the doctor's say abort because you may die, whatever you do don't abort. If you don't believe in God, then abort because you might die in childbirth.
