I believe so. Although they still have Pee Wees Playhouse on Adult Swim late at night. I'm not too sure what happened to his carer but I think I remember someone saying that his carer is over.

Paul Reubens, as of a couple of months ago, was in the middle of creating a new Pee Wee movie/or tv series--Yep, the Playhouse will be back again.
