Does anyone have any tips that actually work for driving traffic to my sites?

The best easy way to start getting traffic to your website would be to answer question at yahoo questions, and make sure your website is included at the bottom of each answer, like a signature. Make sure your website is actually related to the question that is being asked. Also do the same with the Google questions, you will get lots of unique visitors to your website. If you want to take it a step forward you can create a social profile on a website such as myspace. When you do that find the category that fits your business in the messaging forums and post about your business. This will bring targeted visitors. You can also post bulletins and friends and post on there page. That part takes longer and many people do not read the bulletins anymore. More free traffic? Do some really good search engine optimization, pick up so books and read on it, remember search engines love fresh content so try to build up a article directory on your website with fresh information. Remember people do not come to to your website to purchase, they come for the information, then if they like what they hear, and if they feel educated they will purchase from you. There are tons of free ways to build traffic, do research on the net and try to stay away from purchasing hits for your website, because most of the visitors are not going to buy anything, they were probably paid to visits your site. Okay here is one:

What is your site about?

What keywords or keyword phrases are relevant to your site?

When you answer these questions you could do some research on your keyword and write articles based on these phrases or get someone to write it for you.

Submit these articles to article directories like Ezinearticles.com, Goarticles.com etc - there are many of them.

Some of these article sites rank to the top of the search engine and hundreds of people sometimes thousands can see your article and click thru to your site. The best thing is that it is a totally free way to get a lot of traffic.

If you are into internet marketing there is a section on the CYN forum where you can get advice from big name internet marketers on Traffic Strategies.

The forum also allows you to show an ad which you can use to market your site or you can upgrade and get up to 5 ads and other benefits. Once again free traffic.

You can also edit your signature with a link to your site(s). This has generated a constant stream of traffic to sites that I promote as an affiliate and again its free.

Hey there,

the trick to regular traffic is a no brainer its search engine traffic. You need to get your site indexed and ranked well you can do this by optimizing your page for certain search engines.

A friend of mine write a book on how to do this I suggest you check it out it might teach you somthing.

He got his page #1 on all the major search engines for " Make Money" And Make Money Online" you can only imagine what kinda cash he makes on auto pilot.

This is one way, by answering questions in yahoo and putting your site in the bottom as a reference. Make sure you answer relevent questions that have some relation to your site. Another good way is to post articles into sites as Ezinearticles.com and Goarticles.com. In the bottom you can reference your site as resource. Check out Stumbleupon.com site that let's you recommend sites.
