I have been with a company for over 3 years and I really love it however, my position has been eliminated. I have a job interview within the company tomorrow for a position that will take me down a totally new career path and I'm really nervous. I'm rusty at answering interview questions such as:

1. What are your weaknesses

2. How would you handle a situation in which you had to persuade someone to work on a project that they did not want to?

3. How do you handle conflict in the work place?

Serious answers only please. Help! Oh, and wish me luck! ;o)

1. Be honest about your weakness, but follow up with how you plan to work through it, either through education or on the job mentoring, and also counteract a weakness with your strengths, such as: I am not as organized as I would like to be, but I have excellent multi-tasking skills and understand prioritizing my work flow.

2. Give the other coworker incentive towards the project. Give him or her the power to make decisions and make sure that he or she feels like an important part of the team. Most people that back away from projects tend to feel like they just can't do it.

3. Conflict? Keep it completely professional. Don't allow emotions to enter in no matter how hard that can be. Take the issue immediately to the supervisor. This is your job, not a friendship circle. You have to decide what is the most important, your peer-peer rep or what your there to do.

Have a cold favorite snack drink. Bring the skittles. Pop
your breath mints or better a pocket mist and eat sensibly.
Preparation is the key. You know your stuff. You know that
you are the child of blessings, whatever the demand, you can
handle that much. If possible take the bus, or get a ride in.
Every real cool point you need add, do it, the job is a test point.
If you are strong it will mean better placement and options.
Now get a cool bath, do your hair, and swallow your vitamins
with the breakfast that you really need.
