Back in the 80's and 90's when it actually meant something , if you were a strait male . You would have one more in the left side . Meaning that you would pierce the left ear . I would have no clue if anyone even cares anymore .

The right side, years ago, indicated someone was gay if that ear was pierced.

No...not anymore. Get both anyway. Symmetry is a good thing. Guys, girls, it doesn't matter. You have two ears, make two holes. You wouldn't wear one shoe, would you? I won't even touch Michael Jackson's one glove in the 80's *shudder*
