Globalization is a process where it starts to become as if there are no separate countries - a world in which there is a McDonalds and a Wal Mart in every corner of the world, none of your products are produced locally, and you can communicate with anyone easily no matter where you are (like we are right now, via the internet). Companies moving to new countries is just a small part of the process, mostly coming from the intigration of the world's economies.

Globalization will allow firms to freely move their production line to somewhere more efficient and trade between countries will occur without any deterrence. That means we are actually trying to take an approach where we will let the market do the work.
This has several consequences.
1. Low paying jobs or competitive job market against oversea will be lost to developing nations. So, labor jobs are usually the ones to go first. Unemployed workers from these jobs will have to obtain new skills to go back into the market.
2. People have to keep learning new skills and move around from a job to a job.
3. Movement can be much faster than what people can actually handle if firms take full approach.
and more, but I guess it is worth of having globalization.

easiest way to think about globalization is spreading info and such.
in 1800 there was no way to get your pineapples from Hawaii to Russia without them going bad. Heck if you where in Russia you wouldn't even know what a pineapple was more than likely.
Today with all the new technology and such you can.

No. globalization is the deprivatization of companies and lives- ie: this is a form of globalization. You probably live in a different country than me, and, without the internet, I would have never connected with you.
you see?

Globalization, prompted companies to go overseas because of cheaper labor, don't have to pay benefits, no workmans comp. insurance. Less costly all around. It makes it bad for blue collar workers. Less job prospects.
