blood tests are far more reliable than the urine tests. If you had the test this close to the end of your cycle you should have had plenty of time for the appropriate hormones to be in your blood (generally you ovulate mid cycle and are fertile for only a few days so unless the missed pill was right before ovulation and you had sex on that day you should be safe) either way, you should know in a few days. Good luck

You should feel pretty safe. Remember that missing a pill probably got your hormones all out of whack. The blood test is VERY reliable. Just wait a week for the period and see what happens. With the question of the effectiveness of BCP just use another form of protection to play it safe.

The nurse is correct.
Your body would start preparing for the baby as soon as baby has implanted. Within a few days it will show in your own blood.
Yes, you are safe!!
However, after knowing people who got pg while on the pill I'd suggest using a condom or something else along with it. Just so you don't have to worry about this again. :))

i would say the nurse is right - but everyone gets different levesl of the pregnancy hormone and it maybe that when she tested you that your levels were still quite low, (im talking from experience here) i suggest that you have a repeat test in a week or so and good luck

you should be able to take a home test pretty quick. As for the blood test i was sure it was 4 days, but it depends on your hormones, it can be quicker, or longer.
