Because of the media hating western PA. Look at how much respect they got. Just because they killed a great team, OSU, I think, and squeaked by an average team, Indiana, doesn't mean they should have been dropped a seat in the rankings. Also back then, all the coaches saw was the final score, not the whole game. If they did, 94 PSU would be one of the greatest teams in college football history. MARK MY WORD.

Sorry you have to hear this, but it best you know:
No one really cares about the 94 Nittany Lions becuz that was 12 years ago.
Plus, Penn State isn't one of those teams like Michigan, USC, or Notre Dame where they have contributed tradition, history, and lore to college football.
Penn State is a one of those teams that no one really pays much attention too.

That was 12 years ago. Who cares now? Whenever I hear someone talking about someone "stealing the title" (like some bonehead woman talking head when she interviewed Olajiwan concerning the glorious 1983 NCSU victory in the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship) what I'm really hearing is "You lost." Champions win; losers whine.

Ummm...I am a total diehard Penn State fan, and ur right. Those BCS selecters and supid cruddy Nebraska should have gotten aneducation. i dont think its fair. They had the best offense and defense, but they werent known that well.
