Jehovah's Witnesses understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

If a householder does not want the visits of Jehovah's Witnesses, the householder must COMMUNICATE his wishes to the Witnesses in his area.

There is a great book that I read last summer called American Originals. The book has chapters on all the religions that were made up in the United States and who founded them. It talks of Christian Scientists, Jehovah's Witness, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists. I think the book is about ten years old but is very interesting. I have the book in another state but would probably read it again if I had it in front of me. Put a sign on your door saying you have your own religion and do not want to be bothered.

They are at least decent people. They belive that by living according to the Bible, that they will be resurrected to live on a renewed, eden-like earth forever, while 144,000 or some such number of people from all time periods will be rulers and judges in heaven, led by Jesus who is the son of God. A part of their attempt to be worthy of ressuresction is to preach the bible, or teach it, hence the door knocking. And they also believe that this earth, until the end days, is ruled by satan so that God will let people know that nthing in this satan-run world, no government or happy pill or wealth will make people happy apart from living as god willed. So that's the deal. Just ask them to leave and they'll go.

I think you are trying engender hatefulness. If you wanted to really know you could have found out as easily as you typed your question here. I don't care to belong to their church but if your wanting us to believe they do anything but offer to share their beliefs, Im not buying. This is the country that attracted many people for reasons of religious freedom. If you cant tolerate their knocking at your door, Im sure your clever enough to figure it out..
Don't you think we have more then we need of strife? I DO

They can be pushy, just like members of any religion.

My dad did Bible studies with Jehovah's Witnesses while I was growing up. I remember them as very pleasant people who would come over for an hour or so now and then and sit with my dad, reading and discussing the Bible. This went on for a few years, until they got through the entire thing. We went to some events they had, too, which were, to be honest, boring to my young self.

In general, it's like a simple Christianity. They usually don't celebrate holidays, and many don't celebrate birthdays, either. They just believe in the Bible, and in doing what's right for themselves and for others.

They sure get a lot of coverage on here. All you have to do is say you don't want to be called on anymore.
What beliefs: Psalms 37:9,10,11 that one day the earth will have all the wicked destroyed off of it and the righteous or meek will inherit the earth. They don't believe in hell. They believe
that what God told Adam, "for dust you are and to dust you will return. They don't believe in lying to their children about Santa Clause and other pagan holidays.
they do believe in a paradise earth and that the majority of dead people will be resurrected back onto the earth. During the coming reign of Christ. That Jesus Christ will rule the world.

what is it all about was the question.jehovas witness are just another religuos organazation that worships god in there own way .over time people have came up with so many different names for church.i hope we all believe in the same god who is the almighty of gods creater of all the seas and the lands and all the live upon it.knocking on doors is just there progressive way of trying to teach you about god.to them it is s good thing to do,they know going out they are gonna face ridicule and slammed doors and rude folks man they know that but .in gods name they try to spread the word i mean that was the original plan.it may be all mixed up now but it is certainly a well spread word.i myself believe in one true god the creater of all..just tell them you are finding god in your own way and socially just is'nt in the plan at this time.it;s nice polite and to the point really.good luck man,,but what ever i pray you believe in god also..happy holidays all

They are brainwashed relentlessly to not be bothered by rejection because they are doing exactly what God wants them to do. So you can't discourage them no matter what you do. I have read their literature and talked at length to them and they are so full of lies about everything, it's ridiculous. And the bad thing is, you can show them exactly why they are wrong about something and they will still talk their preprogramed responses that are drilled into them. I've seen their books they are made to memorize that have "responses" to every conceivable argument they will come up against. They prefer to get the weakest minded people to push their junk and get as much money out of people they can.

OMG!!!!!!! this is hilarious! I WAS A JEHOVAHS WITNESS! trust me, you have to threaten their life for them to leave you alone. They'll write down your address and make a note and announce it at their meetings to NOT knock on your door. Otherwise you can threaten to report them for trespassing. Tell them to make a note of your addy and spread the word that if they come back....there'll be trouble.

I'm soooooooo glad I'm not there anymore!
