considering i am one were a little hardcore a little goth but mostly skate so were cool 2 hang with

My 11 year old son is a skater, and he is aware that skaters have a bad rap, and often for good reason. Many of them seem to think they should be able to skate on people's property, and they say things like, skateboarding is not against the law, with an attitude. This attitude gives them a bad rap.
However, there are a lot of good influences coming into skateboarding like Jamie Thomas and Brian Sumner. They are helping to inspire young skaters that do not want to be 'bad'. Skating is becoming more mainstream now with more and more skate parks opening and tons of young kids doing it.
My hope is that the old 80's reputation for skateboarders being druggies will fade totally, and kids and adults can skateboard with pride. Right now we seem to be in the transitional time between the two.

skaters are awsome how should i know i am a girl skater people think we have a bad rep well we tend to do because we like to show off tricks and skate on ppl property and stuff like that . skater are easy to get a long with and we tend to hag out with same ppl were not goth a lot of ppl think that tho but were not even close to that . ppl think girls can not be skater only boys can well i got some news for you there is the same ammount of girl skaters as boys my parents dont like it they say i am going to get hurt but i dont listen to them about stuff like that most of my friends are skaters . skateboarding is awsom and more and more ppl are starting to like it
