What great flood do you mean?

If you are talking about the biblical flood, then that question should be asked to all the creationists, I am a firm beleiver in evolution and according to geological time the only great flood was the one that divided North America many millions of years ago, and this continental sea developed slow enough that the organisms capable of overland movement were able to move to the coasts to avoid the wate level, this actually explains much of the species diversity in north America today

Not sure which time period you are referring to, but I would assume that a majority of the carnivore's had no choice but to eat fish and other aquatic meats unless they turn cannibalistic!
