Okay, here's a tough one ---unless you know the answer. If you do, please let me know: A couple of old tunes from the early 60's, Running Bear (Johnny Preston?) and Mister Custer (Larry Verne) feature an indian-esque chorus. Not really singing, but kind of a rhythmic chant. I'll try an spell what the chant sounds like here: Mmm ba-keet-a, Mmm ba-keet-a --- in a very deep voice. Anybody know who did this chanting on apparently more than one record? I believe the same 'artist' did this same style chant on a song from the early nineties by some teenage country singer -- whose name I forget, of course. I think the song was called Indian Giver, or at least had the words Indian giver in the lyrics. If you can answer this, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks~
