Most babies just roam around in there and it is quite normal. If it gets to bad, put your hands in the freezer for a moment and get them really cold and place them where it hurts, your baby should shift. Atleast for a little while to give you some comfort. My daughter was that way with me and the only relief I got was taking a bath.

its normal to feel pain under your ribs. the baby doesnt have a foot or anything there its just that the further along you get the less room the baby has so if feels like its there. try massaging there when it hurts that will make the baby movbe over a little most of the time. and as for do they perfer a side well no not really but you should its better to lay on your left side becase the babies head is on the right side and it can get oxygen better that way.

It is normal to have baby in your ribs, and i am sure you will have it worse as you get farther along.
As to which side to lye on, they say the left is best cause it keeps baby off your artory, but i cant fall asleep on my left side no matter what, i lay on my right so fall asleep, but often find i wake up on my left, so it isnt all bad. What ever is comfy, loosing sleep is far worse for your health than sleeping of your right side or back, at least for now. Talk to your doc about everything, they are there to answer even the silliest Q and when it comes to pregnancy the only dumb Q is one that wasnt asked.

Im also 23 weeks with my 4th and Ive never felt any of mine in my ribs, but I also carry low too. But as to do they prefer one side to the other. Yeah, it usually seems so with mine. Mine usually get into a little ball on the left side. When I lay down I usually have a huge lump right on the left.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, (she's now three) at about 25 weeks she had her head resting on my ribs and the pain was unbearable. I'm now 35 weeks pregnant with my second child, and I'm having about the same problem as you. I think It's his butt resting on my ribs and when it gets really uncomfortable, I just lie on my side for a little bit and he moves to a different position.

It is as normal as being pregnant. My 1st daughter was constantly kicking me in my ribs. I carried high with both my girls. As far as a preferred side: I don't know about the baby, but for you, you should try to lie on your left side. As you get bigger, lying on your left puts less pressure on your diaphram and your heart. It makes breathing easier.

when i was pregnant i had the same feeling mostly when i was sitting straight up, i would have to lean off to the side, it got very uncomfortable later in my pregnancy and i was told at 30 weeks that it was the baby's foot... i was also told that sometimes it can be muscles that have stretched..

It's quite normal - the bigger the baby gets the less room they have, so you will feel them kick you in the ribs. Sometimes you'll even see their hand/foot stick out of your stomach (hard to explain, weird to watch, but somehow cool!)

I bet you have a little foot stuck up there. They find comfortable little places and just want to stay there. You can try to poke her out, but if she likes it there you are kinda screwed. As they get bigger, there is less room to move around too. I poke my daughter out of my ribs on about a daily basis.
