No, you can't.
It's not because bettas are too aggressive (well, that is definitely part of the reason).
It is because bettas are warm water fish (80F) and goldfish, as you know, are coldwater fish (65-70F)

Putting a betta in those conditions would kill it eventually.

You should really only have about 2 goldfish in that size of a tank anyways, but even if you could fit more a betta is a tropical fish that needs warmer water than a coldwater goldfish.

NO.

Goldfish should never be placed with any other fish; they require cool water, and put off enormous amounts of ammonia waste products that can poison other fish. Bettas prefer to live alone and should be kept at warmer temperatures than goldfish.

Nope, the betta will get cold.

Bettas only fight other bettas, or fish that look like other bettas, but they will be miserable in an unheated tank. (Imagine being sent to alaska without a coat, its big, and you won't be fighting, but you will be pretty darn cold!)

No fish like that will kill the other fish or them selfs they have to be in there on tank and away form other tanks. I had two is separate tanks right by each other and came home one day and bother where dead from smashing there heads in to the glass to try and kill the other fish... It was sad...

yes, as long as the water does not get too cold. Just don't put another Betta in with them! I suggest getting a book on Betta's at your local aquarium shop

NO!!!!!!!!! They are very agressive and will beat the crap out of the goldfish. Trust me, I've been there. I mean, a beta fish will try and attack a reflection of itself given the opportunity.

No way! Don't do it!!!! The goldfish have too acidic of a level and will kill your beta. Also they don't like other fishies, maybe just little ones they can chase and kill!

No! Don't put them with goldfish, they will chase them and try to fight them. They can only be put with aggressive fish! Goldfish are NOT aggressive!
