First off I don't see where Gretzky is that cool of a name. As to Cory Pecker he was actually a pretty good player in the OHL. I think that is pretty sad that people would have to stoop to that low of a joke after a hat trick though. Lemieux is a great name if only for the translation and that Mario went out and made it fit.

Jeff Bookaboom he played for the New York Rangers in the 80's and 90s. Another great one from the Rangers is Stephane Matteau (when said quickly sounds like stepon mah toe) and in 94 when he scored the game 7 OT goal in the conference finals against the Devils the broadcaster is screaming "Matteau Matteau !!!"

Although Yzerman Is the best Hockey player ever in my eyes. I don't think his name is the coolest. I would have to say that Osgood (A.K.A. Ozzy) Is the coolest Name. That or Lidstrom.

Cory Pecker (I swear to God I am not making this up). He is actually still a prospect (I cant remember with who at the moment- possibly SJ or Anahiem?). When he played in the ECHL people actually threw dildos whenever he scored a hat trick (again I am serious, this really happened, there is no way I am clever enough to think up something this stupidly funny!) . Who wouldnt love to hear the things that are said to him on the ice. I bet we can all guess some of the things opponents might say to get him to fight (and big surprize, along with being a scorer he was pretty tough, I imagine he had to be).
