Underdressed. People will think that you tried way too hard if you look really overdressed. Sad isn't it? It basically depends because sometimes you create a new trend, but most of the time you shouldn't try to look overdressed. That's what I think!

Definitely overdressed.
First impressions are always important and if you show up under-dressed you're going to appear to either be an apathetic slob or poor. If you overdress you still look classy.
Just a quick side note, it worries me how many people responded thinking "overdressed" and "under dressed" referred to the amount of clothing one wears and not the type of clothing.

depends on the type of party you're going to. if it's a party with you're friends it doesnt really matter if you're overdressed or underdressed. people may say u look nice when you're overdressed, and at the same time, you're friends wont really care as much if you're underdressed. well, at least they wont say anything about it. it's better to go to a party wearing something that suits the party you're going to. for eg, if your going to a birthday party, you would wear something casual but nice, unless it is a fancy dress party, then you would wear something suit for the type of fancy dress party.

Depends on the party and your style. You certainly shouldn't overdress for a fancy affair or underdress for a bbq because such incidents would leave you in either a space suit with a cowboy hat or a moo moo and sweats.

Overdressed. I wouldn't like either but I'd rather people think I made too much of an effort rather than none at all!

Underdressed. Lately fashion is very casual and comfortable, its hard to be comfortable if you are overdressed.

Underdressed. Bring a shrug or something in case you get cold. You can't take anything off if you're too hot.

it is better to overdress because then you can loose a piece of clothing and try to equal out with all the others
this avatar is more close to what i look like. i like to wear hats but they dont have the hair style and color hat i want. this avatar is also closer to what i look like but just minus the xmas wreath

I think overdressed mainly cause Id make the most of it and go out later
