I had the same problem in high school. The way I got over it, was to incorporate humor into the way I presented whatever subject I was speaking about. By starting out with something funny, everyone was laughing, including myself, which helps breaks the ice, and masks the fact that your face is beat red out of fear-because you're laughing. Another tactic is to pass out some type out media....statistics, pictures......something to capture the audiences attention for the first few minutes while you talk about whatever they are looking at gives you the time to get comfortable up there a few minutes before all eyes are on you.

Eventually u will have to present tons and tons of reports and presentations when u reach highschool, or college. Its best to overcome u fear now than never. I dont get nervous when they say we have to present but once its my turn i feel nervous and sick. Im just like u. But once u up there just pretend ur talking to urself but dont stare at the ceiling or floor. Pretend ur talking to ur mom or dad or brother and sister. Hope it helps

Aww, that's so sad. Maybe this will help, Everybody that has to get up and do something in front of others feel the same way sweetie. You just hold your head up and do it, and you will soon realize that you have overcome your fear. Do your best and there is nothing to fear you might even get some new found respect. You can do it. I hope this helps, Marianne

I have the same problem. Think about this, its just a classroom. The kids don't care if u cant present (half of them can't do it themselves). You just have to do it for the grade and get it over with. Ur friends won't laugh at u, they will understand.

remember other people ALL presented at least ONCE in their life... the shy people may fell the same as you... just practice a lot and breeze thorught the presentation

or there is a class ...if you can find it...called "speech class" or "public speaking" they help you practice presentations etc.

go in and present!! you will get more and more confident over time. another way to help with your shyness is to join a group or club in your school. your participation there will help you get over the shyness of talking with a group of people.
