It should taste saltly not sour...and it wont taste "sweet" until about 3 days after you have the baby...maybe a day earlier or later...depending on hormones. Your baby needs that colostrum the first 2-3 days it is FULL of ANTI-bodies to beat germs and viruses!!! HAVE FUN!

Of course it is!! Hubby has to realise that babies prefer bland tasting stuff as their senses aren't fully developed.
Your milk will come in round day 2/3 and will be different in taste and consistency. If it bothers him tell him you won't be breastfeeding him anymore!! LOL!!

Not every mom has their colustorum "leak" before birth. It usually comes in once the baby is born and you are nursing. I think it is normal for it not to be sweet. Usually on the third day your milk comes in and it tastes very sweet.

It's colustrum and will have a different taste than your milk. I've never had anyone taste my milk that could tell about it.

Well if you're really concerned ask your OB/Midwife, but truthfully, how often does your husband drink colostrum from different people to where he would know the difference?
