That depends on how satisfied you are with your career and your life. You could be making half what they are and still be 1000x happier...if your passionate about what you do and where you are with your life. So rule #1: Always do what you love! Money really isnt everything...life is too short to be focused on that. Rule #2: Always motivate yourself to do something different or to go further with what your doing. That's an ego booster!!

Not unless you put your whole self worth in your work-life. If your goal is to be well rounded and happy and contribute, you can do this in more ways then having the best highest paying job.
Happiness is not linked to careers and whoever has the most toys at the end of life does not win, the one who wins is the one is happy and content

No. Certainly not. We all have our niche in life and not all of us are cut out to be ahead. No matter who I know that gets ahead of me it doesn't matter. I'd much rather be happy with what I'm doing than try to be like those who are ahead of me as I might not like what I have to do to be on the same keel as they are.
