one time I was exiting a rest area and there was these double doors and I held the first door for a stranger but they didn't say thank you and they had a negative vibe to them and then the 2nd door the stranger was like expecting me to hold the door for them and the door accidentaly hits them. And when it did, that stranger was cussing at me because it hit them. And I told them "Well you should hold your own doors next time. And maybe you should learn to say "thank you" when someone holds the door for you ma'am!"
Then I ran away.

HAHAHAH That's hilarious. What is up with all these door holding questions?

actually, they can take you to small claims court to be reimbursed for the injury that they received while you neglected to hold the door open for them.
like a burglar that broke into a house and got hurt, and sued the owners of the house that he was burglarizing.
but, seeing how they are complete strangers to you... and you ran off, i'd like to see them take you to court over it.
hopefully they didn't follow you and seen your license plate number.
so, my advice for you, for the next time this happens, is to make sure that they get the pain they deserve for being such @$$E$!!!

Shoulda slammed it on him, if not for the 'draulics...
Seriously, it shouldn't even bother you! I hold doors open 'cuz I was raised not to expect a 'Thank you,'-just the right thing to do. The hot chicks dig it too, & you can get a peek! Just the right thing to do-thanks or not!

It's not illegal. Good for em if they can't say thank you - or move a bit faster thru the door.

no way dude... you did exactly as you are supposed to do... you shouldn't even feel like you need to run away after either... not your fault the door hit them... they have hands to hold it open...
