They don't need to believe in all that Christian nonsense. They're Buddhists!
They believe in reincarnation, and that if a being lives it's life the way it should then it will become a higher being each incarnation, until it reaches the state of true enlightenment ... at that point, when it next dies, it will be reincarnated as a mantis. Only the truly enlightened can become a mantis - and once a mantis, you are reincarnated every year in the same form!
The lowest form of life is currently represented by George W Bush. Next, you become a cockroach. A bit further up the ladder you become a normal human. Later on you become an ant. And once you've reached the top, you will always be a mantis!

I think they pray to ask God to let them live longer. So in a sense they want to avoid Heaven.

hmmm well, some religons most all say animals dont have souls
so no. and even if they did only some animals have self awarness and dont know what death is so they dont really understand a afterlife let alone a god so they cant accept any god as their savior so no. 80% no 10% maybe 10% no in my opionion
