There's no where near enough information in that question!! I can honestly say from experience that high school is NOT for everyone. I had a rough time with faculty and staff at my high school....my grades were good, socially I was accepted, but my life was hell thanks to a few higher ups. Anyway, 2 of the teachers that I had ENCOURAGED me to quit school. I remember the words of my freshman English teacher resounding through my head when he said "High school is not for everyone. You have other options. If you need help, I will help you." A high school education is a wonderful thing to have, and I do have it, thanks to correspondence schools. There's always correspondence, distance education, and GED classes. So depending on your situation, I will say a solid "Maybe". I now hold a couple of college degrees, and love the world of education. It's really all how you look at the situation you're in and how far you want to go in life.

It all depends. If you have a good solid stable plan to keep you happy and financially stable and you're completely confident that it will work, then it might be fine to drop out of highschool. Otherwise, you shouldn't even try, and you should stay in highschool. At any rate, the American Education system is completely corrupt. I don't understand how it could even be tough to graduate highschool. I slacked off in every single class, and I was failing half the time. And I still graduated with flying colors. Buddy, highschool is designed for idiots. Just stay in school and get it over with.

you can't really expect people to answer no to this question can you? don't drop out. three reasons why 1) if high school is really that bad, then why would people that came before put up with it. 2).once you drop, it's harder to go back. most jobs today require at least a high school diploma. 3). if you're tired of learning you might as well be tired of living because you're gonna learn something new everyday of your life whether it's wanted or not. at least this way you won't have to learn through ignorance. that takes longer.

No. It's never a good idea to drop out of school. I promise you'll regret it when you're older and hopefully wiser. It may seem hard right now but keep trying. Hang in there. You have 4 years of high school to deal with but you have the rest of your life to regret it and stats show that people who drop out are less and less likely to return the longer they stay out. You are not the worst out there so don't give up on yourself or everyone else will give up on you. Chin up.

Why would you consider dropping out? You would be taking a sizable risk in jeoparidizing your future. At this point you are in a position to make a decision... now imagine if you were FORCED to do something you don't want to do, for the rest of your life. IF you drop out of high school, you are more likely to live without choices in the future. One of the reasons we get higher education is so that we can create choices for ourselves. If you don't think ahead and consider the consequences of your decisions now, you might not get any choices in the future. Think about it! Protect your future.

I stupidly dropped out of highschool a few years ago, and I can say that the most powerful tool is education. That being said, it's hard to comment without knowing your situation. What year level are you in now? How are you doing in school? Do you have a job lined up?
Whatever you choose, have a good long think, good luck.

Not no, but HELL no. Any job that makes good money with an opportunity for advancement REQUIRED a high school diploma.
You will regret it every day of the rest of your poor, poor life if you do.
Get your diploma. Don't give up. You can do it. If you are behind talk to your counselor and teachers.

Why? Then what are you gonna do? Get a job and start your next 50 years with a sucky job? Finish school ! It's not that bad. After high school then you can start your working life in a lot better position that you can now.

Not if you plan to have a life that's worth much. I don't think even McDonald's would hire you if you were a high school dropout, unless you got your GED. Of course, there's always a life of crime. Then you can go to jail, become some guy's girlfriend, but hey, at least you won't have to worry about housing and food.

C'mon, get real. You want to be a real adult with a future? I was "with child" at a young age, finished college through a nasty divorce, bought my own home, car, etc. and am still *barely* making it. You know what I've got: Determination. What YOU have: Youth & determination.
Finish it and get thru it. A wise man once gave me three precious words that I didn't realize until after he passed away: Suck It Up. You don't want to be 75 sitting on your front porch saying to yourself...."Damn, why didn't I do it...." Life is short and a GED class is long.
