The problem I have is that they don't know basic math or grammar; I blame it on the media. I totally agree though, after awhile you know when someone is being sincere enough when they run into a problem, but there are those who just are too damn lazy, they rush expecting someone else to do it for them- how else are they going to learn... I find it tragic.

Actually, that's what the education section if for. Maybe they don't have anyone to help them. If that's the case, how do they get the help they need to get it done? I have had to ask homework questions on here myself.
I guess it depends on if they are looking for the answer or someone to guide them in the direction of the answer.

No, I think they need a little push, an incentive and they can have both by posting their questions, this is so much better than just chat all day long on other sites on the internet.

Depends on the question. If it is about a concept then I would help them but if it is just solve for X then yes they need to do their own bloody work.

I only wish I had people to do my homework on line back in highschool. I may have done better in math.

yea i think maybe only if they are super stuck and if they dont get the answer they will kill themselves then i agree...or maybe if they have no parents to help them then i agree...
but its not like this yahoo answers place will run out of room for our stupid questions if they post theres right? so whats the worry? do you have to answer them?

yes, but they do have a math category for people who are dying to do some Algebra II or trig...I wish this place was around when I was in high school!!
